The error is probably to be found elsewhere. It is most likely just a coincidence some sfx don't work anymore after changing the tune. I think it's easier to imagine it as "notelength per bar". The term "tempo" may be a bit misleading here. The warning about using 03 as "tempo" is because with a hard restart of 2 frames there is only 1 frame left for the actual note if the next bar also has a note (without glide). The "tempo" setting doesn't apply to sound effects. If anyone has come across the issue and knows what it could be please let me know. The puzzling thing is that it only appears to affect 2 or3 of the sounds and not all of them, at least - not that I can notice audibly. I have also explored an issue of raster-time, but I've got plenty floating around, so it's not that. I also tried switching off the Disable Optimisation feature - again no success.īefore I playback my sounds, I always save A, X and Y and restore them once playback is finished as I just save the risk of any of them being trashed. I'm not sure what this could be, that's why I thought I would ask here. It's as if some of the sounds are now have either a high-pitch chirp or a raspy sound on playback at the beginning or end. Taking off the PO option did have some effect, but not entirely resolve the issue. I even set the blank tune to play at a slower tempo of 07. Now, I read a few comments in the Goattracker docs about playback at 03 speeds, but to retest I took out all of my tempo commands and this did not resolve the issue. This is when I noticed some of the sounds, playing slightly differently. Then in the last few days I added a subtune. My previous videos on my youtube page have the sound working fine. No tempo was set, it's just a blank pattern. I have a blank tune, which is running fine and the sfx playback without issue. Initially my sfx playback have been fine. I wasn't sure if this was to do with speed playback or not, but I will try to describe at best the issue. And it will probably be 1 in channel 1-3 and 1 in channel 4-6.Just come across a new issue in the last couple of days since I've started adding music into my Christmas game with Goattracker. Not sure if you can use 2 filters at once as well, since you have 2 sids so also 2 filters. I will most likely not use the “stereo” part of it, so no left and right channel.Ĭan be awesome ofcourse but I want to use 6 channels for chords, lead echo’s and more cool drums.
#CHRONOS C64 GOATTRACKER SOFTWARE#
3 hours of searching only got me a clou: that I could find some answer within the music software itself. I could not for the life of me find an answer on google, which I do like 99% of the time like all people. If you do not, it will try to address the $D500 address. The magic trick is mostly the changing of the SID baseadresses.īy changing that, it will leave it in the header.

Change SID baseaddresses from “$d500d400” to “$de00d400”.In goattracker folder, open gt2stereo.cfg in a text editor.Get a c64 and an extra sid chip (same as the one in the c64).
#CHRONOS C64 GOATTRACKER HOW TO#
I just figured out (fucking finally) how to get goattracker stereo sids playing in sidplay64 on a real c64. So, you want to play your goattracker stereo songs on a commodore 64 / 128 with a sid2sid board?
